  • The City College of New York 160 Convent Avenue, Shepard Hall, Room SH-350 New York, NY, 10031 United States (map)

This special event will feature the premiere screening of “Beyond Status: Inspiring Stories of Resilience and Advocacy in Education.” This heartwarming 10-minute short film delves into the lives of two DACA recipients reflecting on navigating education as undocumented students. Through personal interviews, it portrays how education and resilience can reshape lives, motivating advocacy while highlighting the practice of joy as an essential practice of resistance. After the screening, a panel of CCNY alumni will lead a discussion on the role and importance of student organizing for equitable access to education and resources.
