About the Video Series

CUNY-IIE has worked together with educators and community members to create professional development modules around the Supporting Immigrants in Schools Video Series videos: Key Immigration Issues, Immigration in Elementary Schools, Immigration in Secondary Schools, and Refugees and Immigrants in Schools. 

Each module features a set of activities and guides to help educators learn, act, and advocate in the classroom.

This professional development module supports educators in developing stronger relationships with immigrant students and families and collaborating with community-based partners to understand and advocate for their needs.

The module also focuses on using children’s literature to discuss current immigration issues in a developmentally appropriate way.
